Château Faugères, owned by Silvio Denz since 2005, is located on the sunny slopes of the Dordogne valley, 6 kilometers east of Saint-Emilion. It was promoted to Grand Cru Classé when the Saint-Emilion classification was revised in 2012.
At the top of its vineyard stands an iconic cathedral designed by Mario Botta. Called the Cathedral of wine, it houses a tasting room, a terrace with panoramic views of the vineyards, a wine cellar and a vat room. According to Silvio Denz, the objective of this new cellar is to constantly search for quality wines, at all stages of production using advanced technologies.
Its wines reveal aromas of raspberry, almond, fig, peony, prune and rose.
