Château Pichon-Longueville Baron
Château Pichon-Longueville features among the top Bordeaux wines, and was ranked as a Deuxième Cru in the historic 1855 classification.
Since 2001, the owners have intensified their selection policy, focusing essentially on the historic terroir of Pichon-Longueville Baron (only 40 out of a total of 73 hectares are used to make the Grand Vin) and choosing only the quintessence of the vineyard when making the blends.
The wine reflects this attention to the tiniest detail, combining power and finesse with exceptional elegance and length, while keeping the tannic structure that is characteristic of the great Pauillac wines.
The château was built in 1851. It boasts a superb view over the Gironde estuary and fairy tale architecture with slender turrets and a reflecting water pond. Opening the château to wine lovers coming from all over the world is one of our priorities; the quality of our event organization was rewarded by a Golden Trophy at the Best of Wine Tourism awards 2011.
