Domaine Jacques Carillon
Located in Puligny-Montrachet, this Domain has been part of the Carillon family’s heritage since the 16th century.
The phylloxera, then the World War I, undermined the vineyards of the village. It is therefore necessary to replant the entire estate in fine Pinot after 1918. The year 1960 marks the end of polyculture and the beginning of the supremacy of Chardonnay on the Carillon estate.
In 2010, the two brothers François and Jacques Carillon decided to separate the Estate from their father Louis Carillon. Jacques exploits 5.5 hectares of vines including a 0.5 hectare plot of Bienvenues Bâtard-Montrachet. He regularly produces wines with a modern profile, very straight and suitable for long aging.
