In 1976, Domenico Clerico challenged himself to create his own wine by taking over and expanding his father’s estate. He bought the Bussia, a vineyard on an exceptional terroir, and produced his Barolo Bricotto Bussia. Gradually, other great wines will emerge under its implusion: Ciabot Mentin, Pajana, Percristina or Aeroplanservaj. The estate now covers 21 hectares and produces 110,000 bottles a year.
Following his death in 2017, his right-hand man and longtime collaborator Oscar Arrivabene took over the management of the azienda with Giuliana Clerico (wife of Domenico). Domenico Clerico has marked the landscape of Barolo and will leave his name to the Estate in the years to come.
